Our Story

We revived the ProTalent name in honor of our late friend and mentor, the great Italian agent Maurizio Balducci, who brought our founders together in 2003.  Truly one of a kind, his beliefs in people, partnership, and industry innovation shaped our careers and our approach to business.

Doug Neustadt met Maurizio through a shared vision: bringing Euroleague star Sarunas Jasikevicius to the NBA.  That joint representation marked the beginning 
of more than 15 years of NBA and Euroleague player representation together, a partnership built on trust, collaboration, and mutual respect.

Igor Crespo worked under Maurizio’s guidance for the first incarnation of ProTalent, gaining invaluable experience before founding Xpheres in Spain in 2010.  Thanks to Maurizio, Doug and Igor worked side by side, forming a strong professional partnership and lasting friendship.

Today, ProTalent Basketball combines hard-earned experience with a deep respect for talent and relationships.  We give our clients the same guidance, insight, and unwavering commitment that Maurizio so generously gave us.
